You guys hello and welcome. I’m super excited to be doing our very first Matrix show. So we’re gonna be talking today about business success and burnout. I’m gonna be pushing a couple buttons and putting us over on Facebook in just a second. For those of you who are listening on Zoom, if you check the chat, oops, that’s not the right link. Well, I’m posting a link for you in chat, that will have a link to the slides that I’m gonna be using today.

Michelle

Give me a second. Hang on a second.

Karen

Okay, if you click down on the bottom of your screen, those of you who are watching on Zoom, at the bottom of the screen, there’s a little bubble that says chat. If you click on that, it’ll open up a little chat box on the right hand side, post any of your comments that you might have on there. And you can also click Oh, I hope that work, click on that link. And that should hopefully take you to the Dropbox link where there are slides. Yeah, I think that worked. So click on that, make sure that works. Ignore the little boot PDF part down there. And I’m gonna go push some buttons and I’ll be in just a second. We’ll be going live on Facebook. And we’ll get rolling. Give me a couple of seconds here.

Michelle

Cool new people.

Karen

If you have any questions just before we get rolling even feel free to post them in the chat. So you can go down there and pistol questions and I’ll be working on it good. Oh good. So salt live 978 I hope it worked. Salt life. I hope your name comes from you living by the ocean which sounds really lovely right now. I am been working on staying warm in Minnesota. So cool. All right, give me just a second and then we will go Live. All right, I think we are live. So hello, everybody. And welcome to our very first Matrix show. This is a show that will be co hosted with the matrix founder Michel Vandepas and I sometimes will be doing shows together. Sometimes we’ll be taking turns and doing shows one by one. Today I’m going to be hosting obviously, and I’m going to be sharing with you information about business success and burnout. So we’ll be talking a little bit about burnout and how when you go into business or you’re trying to build your business or you’re working in your business and you get stuck sometimes or it feels like nothing’s gonna happen or you are avoiding doing the things you know you need to

Michelle

are you doing to create success? Why sometimes burnout is the secret subtle culprit that’s keeping you from creating the success that you are wanting to create. So I am trying to run two screens at once I’m looking at the Facebook as well as zoom at the same time, we’ll see if I can, if I can work my eyes that well, that way I can get questions and comments from both of you. We are going to be using slides today. If you’re watching on the Facebook page, the slides are actually posted as a dropbox link on the Facebook page, the Facebook pages, the matrix dot world, if you’re watching in zoom, I’ve posted a link to the slides in the chat. So without further ado, let’s get rolling here. And make sure I can actually find my slides I’d like to have the slides to Oops.Okay. Try that again.

Tanya

Hi, Tanya. There we go. Okay, there we go.

Karen

Hopefully you all can see this, the secret sauce of business success is what we’re calling today’s show. So let’s explore a little bit about what is the root of business success. And let’s start first by talking about what it isn’t. So when we look at business success, there’s a lot of mythology around you become successful in business, when you have a good education, that when you have business capital that you can have access to you create greater success, that your business techniques, your plans, your strategies, your ability to use sales formulas, and funnels, your ability to market, your ability to attract high end clients, what you were how you look, your branding, there’s a lot of mythology around these being key elements to business success, particularly as an entrepreneur. And what I really want to share with you today is while yes, all of these things are important, for sure, they’re important and, and vital little components that make a business work. If at the root of all this, you don’t have a high quality of energy to bring to your business, creating business success might be a struggle for you. The energy you bring to your business gives you the energy to do all these things. Okay? It gives you the energy to inform and educate yourself. Be honest. Be honest, you guys. You don’t have to tell anybody else but yourself. How many times have you purchased programs, classes, trainings, membership groups, things that you know, you should be studying? Because if you understood things like let’s say Facebook marketing, or how to use Instagram, you know, if you understood these things, you might have a better chance at leveraging your business. You buy them but you don’t actually do them.

Tanya

Why are you not doing them? That’s just a question I want you to explore right? I’m going to gently and lovingly suggest that maybe one of the reasons why many of us aren’t following through with the things we know we need to follow through on our businesses, because we’re not bringing the right quality of energy to the table. We might not be fully showing up for our business, not because you’re broken, stuck or blocked or screwed up necessarily, because I don’t think that’s really true. It might be because you are burned out. So let’s talk a little bit about what is burnout. Because when I when we talk about the statistics around small business failures, and they’re pretty high, if you look at the data, most small businesses fail. I think I think the statistic is something is pretty phenomenal as 85% of small businesses fail.

Karen

Within the first three years of their creation and business analysts and the small business.

Tanya

Business boy, the Better Business Bureau says businesses fail because they don’t have access to capital or they fail to market correctly or they they have bad management or bad planning. And I’m going to say that, yes, that’s probably true. But what’s the root of why the right things aren’t happening? Let’s talk about that today. Because I’m going to tell you that in the 35 years that I’ve worked as a business coach, I think that the real reason why people can’t put their business into effective action is really because they’re burned out. Think about this for a minute.

Karen

Again, how many of you are starting a business on the side? How many of you have a job that maybe you don’t really like but you can’t really quit because of the money and you’re trying to grow your business on the side, and you’re already burned?

Tanya

out from your regular job and you’re trying to build your business while you work a job that you’ve already exhausted yourself with. Okay? Building a business takes a certain amount of energy. And if you’re already depleted and you’re trying to start your business, maybe the reason why the business isn’t working isn’t because of all the things that we think causes business failure, maybe it’s because you don’t have the quality of energy to bring forth. So, when we’re talking about burnout, I’m gonna give you a little bit of a different definition of burnout.

Karen

Burnout is an energy state that keeps you from being fully engaged in your life with joy. Okay, I’m not saying happiness, I’m saying joy, meaning you have the drive to keep showing up and repeating and repeating and repeating something in a masterful way, because you’re bringing joy to it. It’s an energy state that keeps you from moving forward to the from the past. It’s an energy state that keeps you from expressing your authentic potential. It’s an energy state that keeps you from making your authentic contribution to the world, and an energy state that keeps you from fulfilling your destiny. When you are burned out. Some of the physical signs include feeling tired and drained most of the time, even if you’re getting enough sleep.

Tanya

A lowered immunity. There’s a lot of research that shows when you are in a state of burnout, you actually lower your immune response and you’re much more vulnerable to catching common viruses like colds,

Karen

you are more prone to having frequent headaches, muscle pain, and most importantly, back pain. Research from the American Sociological Institute, which says that 65% of people in the workforce are burned out, I actually think the numbers a little bit higher based on some of my research, that people who are reporting themselves as being burned out have a much higher degree of lower back pain and lower back injuries. If you think about that, in the context of energy dynamics, and, and particularly the chakra system or human design, which is has the chakra system rooted into it.

Tanya

The lower back is part of the energy that is all about receiving support. When we don’t feel supported by our work or our work is not supporting us. It makes our back weak, we we materialize physical symptoms that demonstrate our feeling lack of support can also cause changes in appetite and sleep habits, in particular often makes us prone to emotional eating, and Netflix binging. The emotional symptoms of burnout include self doubt and a sense of failure, feeling helpless, trapped and or defeated. feeling detached and alone in the world. It creates a loss of motivation, a cynical and a negative outlook. And it decreases the satisfaction or sense of accomplishment that you might be experiencing in your life. Behaviorally, if you are burned out, you might be procrastinating or resisting. How many times do we know there’s things we need to do with our business, whether it’s something like accounting or building a website or getting a headshot, or creating a presentation, and we don’t do it, we avoid it right.

Karen

And the next one is, of course avoidance. Sometimes when we’re burned out, we shut others out, we’re too tired even to emotionally deal with other people, which is not really good for business. Sometimes we use food, drugs, alcohol or other addictions to cope. If you find that you have what I lovingly call browser blackout a big chunk of the time because when you go to work, you start scrolling up and down Facebook or Google or Yahoo or wherever you end up going, and you lose massive quantities of time going down rabbit holes of internet clicks, it may be that you have a little bit of a computer addiction that you’re using as a way of avoiding or coping with your burnout. You might find sometimes when you’re burned out that you take your frustration on others, especially if you’re generally generally feeling unsupported. Or you may fail to show up for work or show up late that can be your own work your own job where you are your own boss, or that can be your actual jlb. If you’re trying to span between two employment opportunities,

Tanya

business success and avoiding burnout is directly correlated to three key factors. And I’m going to give you just a short introduction to today so that you can I don’t want to overload you with data today. I really my goal is to send you home with some things just to contemplate and to explore. And as we continue to have our weekly Friday matrix show conversations, we’ll look at some of these factors in greater depth and continue to explore ways in which you can really bring your business and yourself into alignment with these three factors. The three factors that we’re going to talk about today are alignment

Karen

sustained

Tanya

ability and value. And we’re looking at what that means. So let’s start. First, let’s talk about alignment. When I’m talking about alignment I’m talking about, you have to be fully authentic in your business. That means aligned with your authentic self in your business, in order for you to create the energy and the drive around your business that allows you to craft success. What I’m really saying here is that anytime we experience a trauma in our lives, a Mac, you know, here’s the the weird and unfortunate and interesting thing about being a human being, we start off in our lives as children, which means from the very beginning of our life, we look at the world through the eyes of children. When we see the world through the eyes of children, we oftentimes interpret or sometimes misinterpret life events, then those misinterpretations or interpretations cause us to lose connection with our own sense of love ability, and our own sense of value. Now, I’m saying this, not because if you have trauma, I’m denying it. I’m not I’m saying that, in my work as a coach, based on the research that I’ve done with my clients over the last 35 years, I will say that 85% of my clients report that they have experienced in some way events rooted in their early childhood that caused them to question their value. Now, I’m not going to hypothesize about what’s going on in the world that’s creating this experience. I think it’s hugely unfortunate and, and tragic, frankly. And I, you know, in a, in another totally different show, we can talk about what happens in the way in which we’re educated what happens in the way in which we’re raised what happens in religious institutions, sometimes that cause children to begin to question their love ability and their value.

Karen

The minute you begin to question your love ability and your value, you begin to shut down your full authentic expression.

Tanya

And when you shut down that full, authentic expression, what happens is you begin to create what I call protective identities. And these are identities, obligations, ways of being facades that you hold on to, that serve the function of protecting yourself from experiencing further hurt from feeling unloved, or on valuable or not valued. Now, if I was going to take

Karen

this is this is based on some of the research that I’m doing right now for my PhD, if I take a whole series of cross cultural archetypes, and I take human developmental needs, and I put all of those in a blender and mix them up, what I come up with, and what I’ve come up with is nine essential but I call resiliency keys, nine essential energies and archetypes that need to be functioning at an optimal level, for you to be able to be fully authentic in the way in which you express yourself in the world. And if for some reason, there are elements in the way in which you perceive yourself, and the way in which you feel in the way in which you live your life that are not operating in the highest expression. So if any of these nine resiliency keys aren’t operating on the higher end of expression, what we see is we are building protective identities in response to that. And those protective identities literally drain us of energy. So let me walk through this very simply, because this sounds very complex, it’s actually quite simple. I’m gonna walk through these nine keys very simply. And as I walk through these keys, I’m going to invite you to explore a question. And that question I want you to explore not necessarily in the context of your business, I want you to really explore it more in the context of how you feel about yourself or how you perceive yourself. And I just want you to check in and see is there some element here any of these nine keys that you think might be problematic for you right now, and that maybe you are trying to protect yourself from experiencing pain that maybe you’ve explained to you you’ve encountered in these nine core areas of your life. So the first resiliency key is called love ability.

Tanya

Your ability to create success in your life and in your relationships and in your health and wellness and in every area of your life is vitally dependent on your perception of your ability to give and receive love. When you perceive yourself as lovable. It is much easier for you to go out into your business and be visible, for you to be authentic, for you to fully express who you are and to the world and your energy Consequently, when you can be at that level of freedom of expression.

Karen

It is liberated and you have more energy to give to putting yourself out into the world. So I want you to think about how open are you to giving and receiving love? How open are you to owning your own love ability? And how do you feel about your love worthiness? Is your feel? Is your connection with your own love worthiness? Keeping you out in the world to be seen and to be engaging on a business level? Are you Is there a part of you who you’re really hiding, to protect yourself from feeling unloved in the world? Empowerment is the second resiliency key. We are designed to feel powerful in the world. In fact, power is so important that we have two distinctly different human phases that we go through in child development. At around the age of two to five, we go through a big cycle of growth when we’re little learning how to be powerful, right was the thing that two year olds say is no, right? That’s your that’s you, that’s your toddlers, learning how to become powerful. The second phase is in adolescence, when we differentiate, we begin to separate from our parents. And part of what we do during that developmental cycle is we learn to cultivate our own personal power. If you feel powerless, especially in your business, if you feel like there’s nothing you can do, or there’s nothing you can say, or you feel powerless over creating success in any way in your business, and you lose a sense of self empowerment, it actually will cause you to create a protective identity of some kind, you will find some way to act or some way to be that isn’t in alignment with your authentic power, and it will deplete or drain your energy.

Tanya

Courage is the next resiliency key and when you know how to understand the messages that your fear is bringing you and not let yourself get paralyzed in your fear. And that happens a lot. When we go into business. Business, oftentimes, especially when you’re self employed, business will call you out into out it’ll call you out of your comfort zone. So when you get uncomfortable, and you get out of your comfort zone.

Karen

And you don’t know how to manage your fear and you lose connection with your courage, you actually can get paralyzed in inaction. And that that paralysis that happens when we’re afraid can actually deplete our energy and cause burnout.

Tanya

decisiveness is the next resiliency key decisiveness is the ability to know how to choose what’s right for you. And if you don’t know how to choose what’s right for you. And one of the things we talk about a lot in the matrix co working space. And as a foundation of our vision for the helping people in the matrix is we talk about a system called Human Design, which is a synthesis of Eastern Western astrology, the Chinese eaching, the Hindu chakra system, Kabbalah and quantum physics. What human design shows us is that everybody is designed differently to make decisions in their own unique way. Where you are in your business is the sum total of every decision you’ve made around your business. If you don’t know your right way to make business, the right way to make decisions, and you’re not being decisive around your business, you’re being afraid to make a decision or you’re holding back from making decisions or you’re making decisions that don’t take you closer to your business goal. It totally drained you because then you have to deal with the fallout of not having made the correct decisions, or having made decisions that take you off course from where you’re really wanting to have in your business.

Michelle

Emotional wisdom is another one of the resiliency keys that we have to pay attention to when we live out old stories. And when we don’t understand the nature of how our own emotional inner plane works. We go into cycles of reacting versus deliberately creating in our business, when you don’t understand how to leverage your emotional energy as part of your creative energy. And you get into cycles of reacting whether it’s with employees, whether it’s with clients think about this for a minute.

Tanya

I have been in business long enough to know in fact, all of my adult life to know that no matter what I do, no matter how I show up for my classes, there’s always going to be one person at least one usually more who’s dissatisfied with what we do. If I post a video on Facebook, or if I post a video on YouTube, I’m always gonna get a thumbs down. Okay, I’ll get a lot of thumbs up, but I’ll get some thumbs downs always happens. Now, if I’m walking into my business, and my I’m not connected to my emotional wisdom, and I’m living out an old story, maybe about fear of rejection. And I get that thumbs down on my Facebook page or on my YouTube channel. I could potentially react right I could post a nasty note to whoever posted the thumbs down or I might shoot off a mean email to somebody who sent me something that was critical Right? Or I could shut down completely and say you know what, I quit. I can’t deal with this. This is too hard on myself steam and I’m not going to do it right

Karen

I could be reactive. And that could take me out of my game in terms of business success, and be totally exhausting.

Tanya

The ability to trust yourself as the next resiliency key, we have within us our own inner connection to our own inner wisdom, our intuition and our instinct around business. And in fact, I believe that a large part of business is more instinctive and intuitive than cognitive, you can come up with all kinds of business models in your head. And the truth is, business is not a formula. It’s a living, breathing act that we commit that I think is a spiritual act of love. And it’s a responsive act. And if you don’t trust yourself, to know how to connect with the flow of energy and information that’s coming at you as a business owner, and you don’t trust yourself to be able to know how to make the right choices, or to know the right words, or to have the right material or the right knowledge. If you don’t know how to how your inners in your inner wisdom and how to connect with your own inner voice and you don’t trust yourself, you will shut yourself down. And you will waste a lot of energy holding yourself back from being fully present to your business.

Karen

Knowing how to leverage your energy or vibe being vital expressing vitality, which is really what we’re talking about today. If you are burned out, if you’re not fully expressing your vitality and your energy, not only of course, will you continue to be more burned out, because you’ll be pushing against yourself, you also actually run the risk of creating what I call creative, creative dead space in your business. If you are burned out.

Tanya

You might not be manifesting or creating anything in your business. And it won’t be because you suck or you are failing or you’re doing it wrong. It might be because your Higher Self, your innate knowingness that is creating in the world knows that you don’t want more clients, you don’t really want more business, what you want is a break. And your higher self is giving you a vacation by not sending new clients. Because your higher self knows, hey, you need to rest first before you take on something else. As far as part of your business growth and expansion.

Karen

Being authentic is the next resiliency key. If you are hiding out who you are, and not fully expressing the truth of who you are in your business, if you’re compromising i a lot, we coach a lot of what I like to call Lightworkers in the matrix Lightworkers are spiritual or conscious entrepreneurs, I have a lot of clients who are afraid to come out of the spiritual closet to show the world how who they really are. And they’re always really, their target in creating their business is to go mainstream. What if you’re trying to go mainstream and you’re not a mainstream person, what if you don’t have a mainstream message, there is a large, very large, non mainstream audience out here. And if you’re trying to squash your message into a little shoe box, and it doesn’t fit in, you’re trying to present yourself as something that you’re not, you’re gonna spend a lot of energy, burning yourself out trying to be someone you’re not oops.

Tanya

Last, but definitely not least, if you’re struggling with your own perception of your value, you don’t know how to stand in your value to recognize the value of the service that you have. Not only is that going to burn you out, because you’re going to be constantly compromising your value, and failing to set good boundaries for yourself in your own business. It actually because value is not just about you and your self worth, it’s actually the energy that holds the energy for receiving money, you may be actually blocking yourself from receiving money, and the support and sustenance necessary for you to sustain your business and for you to let your business serve as a source of support. Not only obviously for your clients, but for yourself, which is part of why you’re in business, it’s your way of supporting yourself. If you’re not living out the high expression of the nine resiliency keys, you will have unmet energy needs that will corrupt your business intentions and misaligned your energy. So as I went through these, again, I’m just want to encourage you to over the next couple of weeks really sit with these concepts, these nine keys and really explore where are you with these energies? Is there something going on that maybe you need to focus on healing or aligning more differently so that you’re freeing up more energy and giving yourself permission to be more present and authentic and aligned with the nature of what your business is all about. Here’s another way to look at this. This is a terrible terrible slide I I really

Karen

visually this made sense in my mind this slide makes sense but I didn’t get the little

Tanya

I didn’t get the little rectangles, the right shape. So but if you want to look at this just a different way at the root of this your love ability and your self worth which as I said at the very beginning

Karen

Something we oftentimes lose at a very young age, we lose our sense of love ability, or we lose our sense of self worth. If your love ability and your self worth is in any way traumatized, you then begin to question whether it’s okay or safe for you to express who you are in the world, you lose connection with your self trust, you lose connection with your power, you lose connection with your emotional wisdom, that in turn causes you to let fear run your show, and you fail to connect with your courage. You don’t make good and strong decisions, or you don’t know how to make good and strong decisions. And as a result, you deplete yourself and you burn yourself out.

Tanya

The next key in the secret sauce to success is being able to create a business that’s sustainable. You can’t grow a business if you’re burned out. And if we look at the nature of the energy of business, business, just like human beings, is designed to have cycles of rest and balance integrated into it. You need to have cycles of rest and integration and balance in your business. If you’re not aligned with the with any any of this, you’re gonna burn a lot of energy trying to maintain a false identity, which is what we just talked about. If you’re not aligned with the rest cycles, and you have the mindset, and it’s very easy for us to have this mindset, because we’re trained to have this mindset by our upbringing, that if you want to create more success, you have to work harder and work more, you can only create a certain degree of success from working harder, we talk a lot about work harder, not work smarter, not harder. There’s wisdom in that. And you can’t work smarter if you’re not giving yourself time to rest. Time to read books that inspire you time to reconnect with your vision, your mission, your purpose. If you are working and working and working and you are not taking a cycle of rest, you will burn yourself out. And I don’t care how powerful and how aligned you are with yourself and your business vision, how passionate you are about it. cycles of rest will create greater levels of expansion for you, they’ll create greater quality of profit and impact for you. Hands down, I will tell you that this is a funny thing that has happened to me over the last 10 years especially i There were a lot of years when I was a single mom raising four kids by myself and running my business by myself, where I literally only took two days off a year and I was constantly scrambling. And I made a commitment one year finally to say okay, I’m going to take one day off a week took me almost two years to get the hang of taking off one day a week, it was terrible, it was very, very stressful. To learn how to do this, I now take summers off and I take time off to hang out with my nine year old and to go play. It’s taken a long time. But what I have learned is that I actually make more money on vacation than I do when I’m in the office. And I really do feel like this is more of an energetic thing than anything else that when I am not in the office freaking out and working like a crazy person all the time. Because I do love my business. And it is incredibly exciting for me to do it when I am in that creative flow that relaxation brings. And by the way, when you relax, you’re more creative. So you come up with better ideas. So you can work smarter and not so much harder, right? That when I’m in that relaxed state, the flow of of sufficiency and support increases exponentially. So take cycles of rest. Because if you are dragging yourself to your work because you’re depleted and exhausted, and you’re not giving yourself the opportunity to sustain that foundation of creativity, that is the source of your business success.

Karen

You will you’re running on fumes and you’re running on finite resources.

Tanya

Last but not least, kind of bringing this up for the half hour your value sustains you in your business, your value creates success and keeps your energy high. And what do I mean by that your sense of value, your self worth is going to be reflected in your business. And we talked a little bit about this on the nine resiliency keys. The more you value yourself, the more you’re the more value your business will have. And this is an ego. So one of the things I really encourage you to do is to take a genuine stock of the value of what you’re giving people through your business. Take a survey, ask your former clients, what did you get out of working with me? Listen to yourself carefully. If you’re teaching or you’re writing, go back, read your materials, listen to your teaching, listen to what you’re sharing with the world and really acknowledge the value of what you’re giving the world. We have a tendency especially my my book

Karen

Beautiful a heartbreaker conscious entrepreneurs, my lightworkers who are out there, we have a tendency to want everybody to receive what we have so badly because we want so badly to impact the world, that we forget the value of it and we give it away to everyone. While there is a place in business, I believe and I do believe this is an emerging part of what we all need to be exploring in our own businesses, to make sure that our businesses are not exclusive, that they don’t shut people out that if we provide services, we do need to craft ways in which people can partake of services, and that getting access to information and resources is not based on financial value necessarily, we do need to make sure that when we give something out into the world, that there is a certain amount of value that’s reflected back, that’s good for you. Because that gives you more energy to give more. And that’s really important to understand. It’s also important for your clients. Even if you’re giving something to someone who maybe doesn’t have quite the price point available that you would like to receive, maybe you’re you’re letting someone barter for a class or pay what they can for a class, you do need to make sure there is some kind of value exchange there because your clients will get more out of it, than if you just give it to them.

Tanya

I will tell you that I used to, I used to teach a class called prosperity boot camp many, many years ago, it was all about creating abundance in your life. And of course, when you’re teaching a program about creating abundance, there are a lot of people who are struggling with abundance who want to take the program and didn’t have the money to take the program. And in the beginning, I used to give it away, I would give it to anybody who asked that was my policy, if you ask me, I’ll give it to you for free. And what I found was that the people who got the program for free, never did the homework never showed up for class. And often were the ones who were sending me complaining emails about why it doesn’t work, even though they weren’t showing up and doing the work. So I shift my policy, I said, I will create, you know, creative ways to help people pay for it. But I will not give this away anymore. And I will stick to my fixed price about how much this program will cost. And at the time I was charging $333 for this program, which was pretty steep. i The people who really wanted the program,

Karen

did everything in anything they could to take the program. In fact, one of my students was about to have to leave the country because her husband’s visa had expired. And she didn’t want to leave, she wanted to stay she wanted her daughter to go to school in America. And so she and her husband and her daughter were staying in a hotel they were about to have to leave, she started taking prosperity bootcamp, she traded the tuition for work at her daughter’s school. So she she created a sort of a work study situation at her school, she attended class at night in the bathroom of her hotel room, she did the homework. And within three weeks, her husband had found a new job had gotten a new visa, they were able to buy a beautiful house in Florida. And she was able to keep her daughter in the private school that she wanted to do. And everything really clicked because she did the work. And she saw the value of it because she had to put the value in. So value is crucial to keeping the entire energy of your business afloat. And and it’s important to create success that and it’s important for you in terms of sustaining your energy, if you start to feel resentful about what you’re charging or about your clients, that feeling resentful is a really big warning sign that you may be out of integrity, with the value of yourself in your business.

The next thing and this is sort of the last kind of concept I want to end up with today. Our understanding in the world is a result of our consciousness and our consciousness is in the midst of a big evolution. We are coming out of what I’ll call the Newtonian era where we had an economy that was based on material motivation, Newtonian consciousness, or material consciousness was all about exploring and understanding our physical world. This was the age of the of the scientific revolution. And all of these scientists that went to work trying to figure out how does the world work? And what are the laws that determine how the physical world create is expressed and how it functions. In the early 1900s, we had the emergence of a brand new science called quantum physics and quantum physicists were able to look at the building blocks of the material world. And what they discovered was the building blocks the material world, act very differently than the material world. That understanding brought us into the beginning of a shift in consciousness into what I’ll call the new era, the quantum era, which is what we’re really growing towards. And in the quantum era, we now have an emerging new economy that’s based on the creation of more wellbeing for yourself and your clients meaning the drive to create money in your business.

Karen

snus is changing. And the new driver in the new economy is the desire to create a greater quality of wellbeing for yourself, and your clients and the world. As we move into this new economy, the way in which we do business is changing. And our blueprint for what economy in doing business and being in a small business is all about, our blueprint for their economy is evolving, we are moving into a new economy that is rooted in service and love. So those of you who are service providers, you are actually on the leading edge of the new economy. It is values based, meaning it has to be in integrity. And that means it has to be in integrity with yourself and your own energy. You have to be in your truth with your business. And the way in which you engage with others also has to be rooted in integrity of caring and love. The new economy is nurturing. And it has, ultimately the role of feeding and educating everyone so that we can expand the quality Well, being in the world, money might still end up being part of this new economy, but it’s the representation of value, it’s not the driver. And I would value I would venture to guess that many of you listening today are in business, not because you want to make the money. But because you want to have the impact. You want to obviously you need to have the money as part of your assessments and support. I’m not saying don’t go for the money, I’m saying the profit doesn’t drive you. The desire to do good in the world is driving you. And if that’s true for you, you need to take care of yourself first so that when you step into your business, you are walking into that business as the embodiment of well being, so that you can create greater levels of wellbeing for your clients. Because if you’re walking into your business burned out, fried and crispy, you can only lift your clients to the degree to where you yourself are a rising tide lifts all boats, and if you’re a burned out person in a business, you are not going to be able to lift your clients up as high as you can. And you will be minimizing your capacity to impact people in a powerful positive way.

Tanya

So summary, you have to know who you really are and craft your business intentions around this truth, be authentic, and take care of any underlying energies that are keeping you from being fully authentic in your business. Your business has to include rest support, nourishment, and it has to be sustaining you in order to create success, working more or harder doesn’t really pay off. In fact, it does the opposite. The value of you and your work is the contribution that you make money is simply the medium to reflect that value and not the end goal. Your business I believe is a spiritual dynamic process designed to help you evolve so that you can then in turn help your clients evolve.
