Hi, my name is May Yeo Silvers, an event planner with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and events field and also the founder of M2 Hospitality.
As a happy wife, proud mom and successful eventrepreneur, my journey in the industry began in Singapore where I’m originally from. I started my hospitality career as a food and beverage trainee at the Raffles Hotel, Singapore. It was there that I fell in love with the hospitality industry and decided to pursue my career further. In 2004, I came to Miami, Florida to help establish the events and food & beverage departments at The Setai, a brand new luxury hotel overlooking the iconic South Beach.
I eventually worked my way up to Director of Catering and Conference Services and Director of Event Planning at several luxury hotels, including the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and The Royal Palm, South Beach, where I was part of the hotel opening team.
In 2012, I left the hospitality field and created M2 Hospitality and established several core values that my team and I are committed to delivering to our clients and vendors. Quick response time, listening to our clients’ needs, formulating realistic event budget, being conscientious, resourceful, and transparent are a few of them.
Being an event planner with a hospitality background has served our clients well. I understand both sides of the equation and always able to negotiate a contract that not only benefit our clients, but at the same time respecting the hard and soft cost of the service provider.
