About the author

Heather Hobbs is a retired community health nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto and certificates in Solution Focused Counselling and Solution Focused Coaching. She is also trained as a facilitator for grief support groups. The majority of her career was spent as a community health nurse and childbirth educator in Canada at rural and urban homes, libraries, schools, and Early Years Centers in Alberta and Ontario. Although pre and postpartum groups and Transition to Parenting groups took place in community settings, the bulk of her work in supporting new and young families was during home visits. Together, Heather and her soulmate Randy, raised three stellar children, Lindsey, Katie, and Travis. Heather is now the happy Grammie to grandson, Jacob, and three granddogs. Actively engaged in her community through volunteer work as a summer camp nurse and varied volunteer duties, Heather nurtures friendships far and wide. As a newly certified Happy for No Reason TrainerTM, Heather sees grand-mothers as a priority for workshops to elevate and strengthen happiness. This book is for all the grandmothers who artfully and playfully help their grandbabies grow while serving their mutual need for connection, love, and a sense of being valued.
