AUTHOR

Richard Graf

Rick Graf is a Colorado author whose work sits at the intersection of imagination, history, and civic reality. Published under his full name Richard Glen Graf, he also writes fiction under the pen name RG Graf. A stay-at-home dad with a longstanding interest in how societies hold together — and how they fail — Graf studied History and Political Science at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. His professional background spans both public service and private industry, including work as a Chef, Computer Hardware Technician, Hotel Manager, Sheriff’s Deputy, U.S. Postal Service, Homeland Security and T. Rowe Price.

Graf writes in two lanes. In fiction, he explores power, sacrifice, and the thin line between security and tyranny through the Without War There Is No Peace series, beginning with The Stories of Dr. Charles Samzove. In nonfiction, his The Sentinel Republic series examines government accountability, budgeting discipline, and how societies can design systems that resist corruption rather than enable it.
Across both genres, Graf’s goal is the same: to challenge assumptions, spark honest discussion, and push readers toward solutions that can survive scrutiny — not just sound good in theory. When he isn’t writing or researching, he’s spending time with his family, refining story continuity, and enjoying another longtime passion: sports & trading-card collecting.
