Charlotte De Groof

Charlotte De Groof is a Human Design 5/1 Generator. Born in a small town in Belgium, she grew up in a family where narcissism, manipulation, and suppression were the rule rather than the exception. When Charlotte was nineteen years old, her mother died of breast cancer. The next day her father changed the locks on the door, telling his daughter that she was no longer welcome in the house where she grew up and that he didn’t want to see her anymore.

Conditioned to believe she was responsible for her mother’s disease and death, and that there was definitely something wrong with her, Charlotte started to survive by being the person people wanted her to be, being everybody except who she was. That way, people couldn’t discover the flaws in her design, and they wouldn’t notice she was different.

While using the willpower of her defined heart center to push through, she ignored the signs of her body until it started to shut down, which forced her to look in the mirror. By about thirty, she had all the outward appearances of success: degree, career, homeowner, relationship, and a robust social network. She thought those were the things needed to prove herself to the world—yet they failed to provide happiness. She realized she’d spent her whole life trying to get others to love her, but she didn’t love herself.

Upon this realization, she made the most difficult decision. She left her relationship, changed careers, and did a deep dive into her own family history and patterns in an attempt to discover herself.

With each dysfunctional family pattern that she uncovered, she broke and healed through a deconditioning. One by one emerged the truth of her own worth, and she realized she didn’t have to prove herself to receive love.

Today, Charlotte visits schools and theaters with Charlie Bravo, a theater monologue about her life. It is a story about emotional abuse, but more importantly, it is a story of hope, about finding yourself and your voice.

In addition, her poems and coaching guides others in breaking their own limiting beliefs and patterns through soul, body, and energy readings where she uses her intuitive gifts in combination with Neuro Emotional Integration techniques and (Quantum) Human Design.

Her hope is that she sees the world change into one where each child has a chance to grow up as themselves, knowing they are valuable, unique, and perfect as they are.
