Author Rights and Royalties at GracePoint Publishing
GracePoint's collaborative publishing model is a true partnership — both author and publisher stay invested in the book's success over time.
Here's how it works:
- Contract term. Authors sign a 5 or 10-year publishing agreement. During this term, GracePoint and the author share in subsidiary rights opportunities — film, TV, foreign translation, audiobook, course material — and royalty splits on book sales.
- Why the long term matters. GracePoint stays actively involved in marketing and promoting your book for the life of the contract, not just at launch. That means ongoing conversations with Michelle and the team as new opportunities or ideas come up.
- Royalties. Authors earn royalties as books sell, with the structure set out in the publishing agreement.
- Staying vested. Because GracePoint shares in the outcome, we're motivated to keep working your book's visibility and opportunities well past publication day — not just hand you a finished file and move on.
This is different from traditional publishing, where a house typically takes rights for the life of copyright in exchange for an advance, and different from self-publishing, where you handle everything — and all outcomes — alone.
