Monika Rohde began her career as a bookseller before studying mathematics and English. She later worked as a teacher in northern Germany until 2005. Today, she divides her time between Nuremberg, southern Spain, and the south of France. Her crime novels combine her love of logic, language, and different cultures. Drawing on real-life inspiration, she creates atmospheric mysteries with a strong focus on character and human relationships rather than violence.
