I’m Michelle Vandepas

Co-founder of GracePoint publishing and I have 24 years of experience in all aspects of publishing. As you can imagine, everything has changed in those years, and I’ve kept up with it all, the good, bad, and the confusing – so you don’t have to.

I’ve helped authors every step of the way, including getting agents, book deals, self-publishing, and getting out of contracts that no longer worked for them.

Some of our authors have had movies made about them and been interviewed on major media platforms, and some have gone on to build successful businesses.

No matter your background or writing skill level, this workshop will teach you everything you need for a successful launch.

 

However, sometimes writing and publishing your book is enough. I’ve had a client reach out after hearing her book saved someone from suicide. Another author is helping women who have experienced trauma in childhood. Another volunteers with foster youth.

It was Michelle who introduced the idea of an online launch, what would need to be done to make the book a “best seller” in Amazon and gave support and guidance. In other words, in this day and age, I’m not sure seeking a traditional publisher makes sense, so the effort that would be needed to find a traditional publisher would be better spent, most likely, in connecting with a small nimble publishing company that can help you with all elements of the publishing, including the marketing elements that will be needed, such as GracePoint Publishing.

Who should attend?

If you are thinking of writing, have already written, or have even already published, this will help you understand how to move forward. We deliberately made this workshop affordable and available in person or virtually so everyone has a chance to attend.

Does it matter what genre of book I am writing?

This workshop is primarily for non-fiction and memoir writers, however we have a lot of information that will help business books, fiction writers, and all genres!

What if I'm busy on April 4th and 5th?

We will be offering replays of the event for ticket holders, and you’ll have the opportunity to pre-submit your questions and follow up after the workshop with any questions not answered. You can watch the replays on your own time. They will be available for ninety days after the live event.

What about a refund?

Sorry, we don’t offer refunds, as we have limited space.

What if GracePoint cancels or there is another pandemic?


We wish we could predict the future, as we know travel has gotten difficult. We plan on arriving a day early in case of storms or delays and encourage you to as well, in fact, if you come early, let us know so we can have a drink or tea together! Our intention is that we will be holding this workshop. If something wild and crazy happens out of our control, we’ll still hold it virtually. (We did have to cancel events in the Spring of 2020!)
